Martini Mondays: It’s French & it’s Fabulous

Listen here for unfiltered wedding advice from Alexandra & Chrissy while we sip French martinis.

Pop the champagne…or better yet, shake up a French martini, because Martini Mondays are here!

In our very first episode (be gentle, it’s the first one!), I sat down with the sassiest co-host I could find — my mom, Chrissy — to talk about the real first step every bride-to-be should take after saying “YES.” Spoiler alert: it’s not venue scouting or dress shopping. It’s knowing your budget.

Before you even think about guest lists, floral dreams, or signature cocktails (though we’re clearly fans of those), and even your bridal stylist, you have to get real about how much you plan to spend—and where that money’s coming from. Whether it’s a family contribution, personal savings, or a combo of both, nailing down your numbers early will save you major stress down the road. Trust us—we’ve seen it all.

Now, because no good advice session is complete without a cocktail in hand, we kicked off the episode with Chrissy’s go-to the French Martini, because to her, “It’s French…and it’s fabulous.”

Her favorite spot to sip one? Any of the Gibsons steak houses in Chicago—because she’s classy like that.

And since we love you, we’re sharing the recipe so you can sip along with us every Monday!

French Martini Recipe (Chrissy-Approved)
It’s French. It’s fabulous. It’s perfect for wedding planning.

Stay tuned every Monday for more wedding wisdom, real talk, and stylish sips. Because planning your big day doesn’t have to be boring—and with us, it never is.
